Office Policies
AppointmentsDuring treatment, most patients are seen every four to six weeks. Our goals are to see you on time for your appointments, and to have plenty of time during each appointment to do the necessary treatment, discuss information about your treatment, and answer any questions. Shorter, Routine Appointments By using the latest technology, routine orthodontic appointments today are much shorter than in the past! Since these appointments do not require a lot of time, they can be scheduled for after-school hours. Longer Appointments There will be a few longer appointments during your treatment. These appointments will be scheduled during school/work hours to accommodate as many families as possible for after-school appointments. Late Arrival Because the schedule is designed to run efficiently, your late arrival may pose a problem. If you arrive late, we may need to reschedule your appointment when there is adequate time to provide the necessary care. If we have to reschedule an after-school/work appointment, it may be rescheduled during school/work hours so that you can be seen in a reasonable amount of time and not delay your treatment. Rescheduled Appointments Appointments are usually scheduled four to six weeks in advance. We can better accommodate rescheduling your appointment with advanced notice. Appointments cancelled on short notice or missed appointments need to be rescheduled promptly so that treatment progress is not adversely affected. Please provide 24-hours advance notification if you need to reschedule an appointment. Emergency Appointments / Extra Visits Please understand that although we make every effort to accommodate emergency visits, we may not be able to offer you your ideal time for your emergency appointment. If the office is closed, you may follow the emergency instructions on our phone message system to reach someone, or leave a message and we will return your call when we return to the office. Missed Appointment Policy We do charge a fee for missed appointments, however Dr. Lenk donates a portion of all missed appointment fees to Oyster River Womenade, or another local non-profit agency. |
