 Your First VisitWe look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about orthodontic treatment. Our office philosophy encourages patient/parent involvement. The tone of this visit should be a comfortable and relaxed setting offering you an opportunity to have all of your questions answered. This visit should take 30 minutes. Dr. Lenk will evaluate your present condition and address your concerns. Your diagnosis will be explained to you, along with your options for treatment. This is a time for you to gather information, and begin working with the doctor to determine your individualized treatment goals and a plan to accomplish them. The panoramic x-ray is an important diagnostic film used to accurately assess your present condition and future needs. It is especially useful for patients with baby teeth remaining, or when permanent teeth are not visible in the mouth. It allows Dr. Lenk to evaluate dental development, predict, prevent, or detect impacted teeth and other abnormalities, and to determine the appropriate time for treatment. Please bring your most recent panoramic film to your initial consultation, or we are happy to request it on your behalf. If you have not had a panoramic x-ray, one may be taken in our office. Our digital capability allows us to share the original high quality image with both you and your dentist. Your consultation with Dr. Lenk is complimentary. A charge may apply for x-rays taken in our office. For your convenience, we accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Also, for your convenience, in-office financing is set up on an automatic payment plan with funds withdrawn on a scheduled monthly date of your choosing, from an account of your choice. Insurance We are happy to accept most orthodontic insurance. We will work directly with your insurance company to reduce your total orthodontic fee by the amount of anticipated insurance benefit. Please provide your insurance information at the consultation appointment (or when scheduling) so that we can verify your benefits. |
